Butter tart shell

Makes 8in shell

  1. 88g flour
  2. 1/2tb sugar
  3. 1/4tsp salt
  4. 4tb butter, cut into pieces and chilled
  5. 2-3tb ice water
  • Process 1-3. Pulse in butter. Pulse in 2tb water. Add up to additional 1tb water 1tsp at a time if necessary. Spread evenly into a 8in tart pan, cover and freeze for 30 minutes or up to 1 day.
  • Cover with foil, add weights and bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Uncover and continue baking for 5-10 minutes or until golden brown. Proceed according to recipe.
