Steak de Burgo

Serves 4

  1. 4 4oz filet mignon OR 2 8oz strip steaks, halved
  2. 1tsp oregano
  3. 1/2tsp garlic powder
  4. 1/2tsp salt
  5. 1/2tsp pepper
  6. 1tb oil
  7. 2 garlic cloves, halved
  8. 4tb white wine
  9. 5tb butter
  10. 1tb cream
  11. 1tb fresh basil
  12. 1tb fresh oregano.
  • Rub steaks with 2-5 and cook to medium-rare.
  • Wipe fat from skillet, add oil and cook garlic for 30 seconds. Add wine and reduce to 1tb. Add 9-12 and toss garlic.
