Strip steak w/ creamed leeks

Serves 4

  1. 3 10-12oz strip steaks (NOT 4)
  2. 2tb pepper
  3. 2tb butter
  4. 2lb halved leeks
  5. 1/2 cup white wine
  6. 1/2 cup broth
  7. 1tsp thyme
  8. 2tb cream
  • Season steak w/salt and pepper and cook to a medium-rare. Set aside and tent.
  • Add butter and leeks for 5 minutes
  • Add 5-7 and simmer 5 minutes.
  • Add cream. Slice steak and serve over leeks.
