Steak tips in shallot-wine-butter sauce

Serves 2

  1. 1lb steak tips
  2. 2tb butter
  3. 1 shallot
  4. 1/4 cup red wine
  5. 1/2 tsp brown sugar
  6. 1/2 cup beef broth
  7. Pinch of thyme
  • Sear tips w/s&p on all sides, about 5-7 minutes and set aside.
  • Melt 1tb butter, add shallot for 1 minute.
  • Add wine and sugar for 3 minutes.
  • Add broth and simmer 3 minutes.
  • Add remaining 1tb butter and thyme, warm tips in sauce.
